I attended a Spanish Tour with Dale in September 2025. This was a 5 day, dedicated photography tour with 4 friends, all of whom are very accomplished photographers. The primary target for the tour was to capture and photograph the endangered Iberian Lynx. Given that there are only approximately 2000 of these cats, the concern was whether we would be able to see one let alone photograph one. Expectations were high and this must have placed a lot of pressure on our guide, Dale. We need not have worried. Dale had thoroughly researched his subject. We spent 3 days photographing these illusive animals, comprising 2 sessions each day. We saw lynx every session we had booked (with the exception of an unexpected additional session Dale managed to organise on the night we arrived, where driving rain was the issue). We then moved on for the remaining 2 days targeting eagles in another region of Southern Spain. Again Dale had done his research and delivered. We photographed Bonelli’s Eagle, Golden Eagle, Goshawk and a variety of other bird species. As I stated at the start of this review, this was a dedicated photography tour which meant we had early starts and late finishes. We self catered for the first 3 days (Dale arranged to stop en route to enable us to collect supplies’) and ate ad Hoc for the last 2 days to ensure we could get out to the species we were targeting. Our accommodation, arranged by Dale was clean, comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. I was delighted with the tour. If you are looking for 5-star luxury, this may not be the tour for you. However, if you are a serious wildlife photographer looking to obtain quality images of the fauna of Southern Spain, then I can not highly recommend this tour enough. I will certainly be looking for another tour with Dale in the very near future – Thanks Dale.

In mid-March, I participated in a photography tour in the Jaen region, nestled in the heart of the Sierra Morena Mountains. I must express my utmost satisfaction with the exceptional organization of the tour from start to finish.
The primary goal was undoubtedly to capture stunning photographs of the famous Iberian lynxes, and in this regard, no one was disappointed. A very comfortable hide, equipped with all the conveniences (including a heated floor, which was a real treat during those days, and a WC), made this possible. The wild cats themselves did not disappoint, allowing us to take beautiful pictures! I should also mention the excellent placement of the hides on a hill, which provided a distant background from the main stage.
The authentic Spanish house was very cozy, and everyone had their own room. I had a lot of fun during the tour and would recommend it to anyone who wants to combine travel, photography, and a great team of like-minded people.

In March,2025 I attended an Iberian Lynx Photography Workshop, in Spain, run by Dale Sutton. This was high on my to do list, for a long time. I was not disappointed!
We met at Malaga Airport and the journey, in a comfortable people carrier to the Sierra Moreno, a 3 hr journey, set the tone. From the start, a convivial, relaxed, inclusive group emerged! All but me were experienced wildlife photographers, willing to share knowledge and tips with a relative novice in this genre of photography. It made a big, positive difference. Thank you all.
The weather was very wet, everyday but it did not dampen our spirits! The highlight, was the appearance of a Lynx, not once but on 3 different, occasions, during our 2 days in the hides, which were well positioned to maximise photographic opportunities.
Accommodation was excellent and on site. Dale was an encouraging, supportive, calm and knowledgeable leader, who ensured all the logistics were professionally taken care of from start to finish.
I would rate my overall experience very highly and I would recommend this workshop, to all levels of photographer. . I look forward to joing future workshops run by Dale.

This is the first review I have ever felt necessary to complete as I feel other Wildlife Photographers/ Wildlife watchers would benefit from. I have returned from a recent trip to Southern Spain with Iberian Tours and the it’s been an eye opener.
The Iberian Lynx are a must they really are amazing to observe hunting wild rabbits in their natural environment from the comfort of a hide and likeminded persons. The accommodation was clean tidy and all the amenities where to a very high standard. The trip was well organized with good communication throughout and nothing was to much trouble for the guide Dale to get sorted even with an unforeseen change of flight at short notice Dale still worked around the issue. I am already planning my second visit in October 2025 with three other like-minded Photographers.
I photographed the Lynx in rain at times and I must say the images are something different and not many people will have similar as the rain added impact and captured some special moments in time, the images will defiantly be printed with one definitely going onto the lounge wall and entered in competitions.

Hi Dale,
I felt that I needed to contact you upon my return, Phil Green and I had a superb trip with you and wanted to go on record as sending you our heart felt thanks.
We loved the way you ran the trip and your enthusiastic attitude and depth of knowledge. You were always ready to offer help and assistance as and when required. We will hopefully join another trip next year so please keep us abreast of the possibilities.
Now begins the great downloading and processing journey ( I just looked at the card from yesterday and see that I took 2878 images) Oops a bit over the top .
I will be passing on my thoughts on the trip along with sample images and your cards to members of our photographic club.
